Why Hosting An Event In Israel Is So Important

“To know her is to love her” – The Beatles

When I moved to Israel 15 years ago, I instantly fell in love with Israeli music, food, and culture. From my conversations with taxi drivers about their years in the IDF, to the excitement that fills the air in preparation for the Jewish holidays, to the unofficial national pastime of grilling in the park, Israel is full of depth and opportunities to live with purpose whether you intend to or not.

More and more people who have not decided to make Israel their home are still choosing to experience the joy, the depth, the emotion of celebrating their important milestone events in Israel.  You can bring your family, your friends, your vision, and your dreams to Israel for a magnificent event that you will remember for a lifetime. It may be daunting, but that’s where event planners can step-in…

Simply put, an event in Israel is more special than anywhere else, and here are my top 3 reasons why:

 Experiencing Israel

Israeli President Shimon Peres said it best, “Israel has its attractions. It’s the most dramatic country in the world. Everybody’s engaged. Everybody argues. When I leave Israel, I get a little bit bored, you know?

For some, hosting a traditional milestone in the universal homeland of our heritage can add an extra spiritual layer to the occasion. For others, it’s simply a good excuse to take a vacation and explore a new country. Whatever the reason is, when you have a destination event in Israel, you are choosing to immerse yourself in the culture of your people. It gives you the opportunity to invest time in traveling and getting to know the land.

You have the choice to make new exciting memories on a day-to-day basis. From driving down to experience the Dead Sea, to spend a night walking around Shuk Machane Yehuda, I can guarantee that you will be surrounded by the feel, sounds, and smells of the land – and people – of Israel.

 Event Diversity

Wouldn’t it be great if there was a country with lush green mountains, desert hikes, white-sandy Mediterranean beaches, and ancient stone cities all within a two-hour drive of each other?  Israel is smaller than the state of New Jersey, only 1/18th the size of Japan, and yet – we have all of that!

There’s no doubt that the holy and beautiful city Jerusalem of Gold, is a top choice for many families planning their event.  However, there is no shortage of events located in the many different landscapes scattered throughout our beautiful country. Israel also offers such a variety of climates, landscapes, venues, music, food, and design that you are virtually guaranteed to find the perfect fit for your special occasion. From an ocean view wedding in Caesaria to a Bar Mitzvah tent erected in the desert(!), to a secluded mountain family getaway, anything is possible here.  Even the events in big city venues enjoy the cultural and culinary experience, adding to the family adventure and bonding.

Connecting your Joy to that of the Jewish People

Through the years of opposition, Israelis have learned how to take care of each other in beautiful ways. From a stranger helping a young mother with her baby to a soldier helping a bubbie off the bus, Israelis are always eager to help and lend a hand in times of need.  Even in the most trying times and stressful situations, Israelis stick together and bond like family like no other nation in the world.

When you celebrate your event in Israel, you strengthen your connection to the nation, the land, the history. Your special day for your family becomes infused with even deeper meaning.
