5 Essential Tips for Grooms

How To Keep Your Cool Before The Big Day!

Grooms, it’s almost time for the big day! In the months and weeks leading up to the wedding, it may feel like the bride gets all the attention, but this celebration is just as much about you. That’s why you need to be prepared. Here are 5 essential tips to help you have the best day and enjoy every minute of it.

Give yourself some alone time.

Your wedding day is going to be spent with very close friends and relatives. You’ll be smiling for pictures all day and really won’t get any time for yourself.  Even if you have to wake up early, take the time to be alone and really soak in the day and what is about to happen. You’re going to be a husband! It’s a huge deal.

Get your rest.

Try to get some rest the night before. It sounds simple enough, but you don’t realize how busy the day is going to be. Try not to go too crazy the night before so you’ll be ready on the morning of.

Stay Comfy

Make sure your shoes are already broken in so you don’t get blisters, your undershirt is thick enough to keep sweat from showing and your outfit is weather-appropriate for your wedding day. Making sure that everything fits and you’re staying cool and comfortable will help you enjoy the day and not have to worry about wardrobe malfunctions or unpleasant surprises.

Be Attentive

Arrange ahead of time to have flowers, her favorite perfume or a handwritten sentimental postcard put into the Yichud Room for your wife to be after the Chupa. It’s the kind of detail she won’t forget and the warm feeling she’ll get when she receives it. Some men are better at this than others, but grooms should try and tap into their creative side and write a wedding song for the band to play at the reception, a poem or a sweet video message for her to discover later. Details count, and she’ll remember the gesture.

Enjoy It!

Doing your job as a groom means you’ve made your fiancé feel like a queen and you’re looking your absolute best. Having everything ready and knowing what needs to be done will make it much easier to enjoy the occasion, especially on your wedding day.

Having less stress will rub off on your bride, and that can only increase your chances of making the day go perfectly. You’ve found the woman of your dreams and done everything you can to prepare, so set the tone for the rest of your lives together by enjoying every moment of your special day!

First of all, why does the Chosson know the Kallah’s favorite perfume?
Also, many have the custom to give a pearl necklass in the Yichud room.
